This light & refreshing homemade almond milk is so yummy in chia pudding and overnight oats. The sweetness of the rose syrup & raspberries makes a lovely addition to my almond milk repertoire.
National Hot Chocolate Day found the right date to park, this year ~ the entire northern part of the US is below freezing! Wow! This twist on a favorite is sure to warm you up! I added organic coconut condensed milk and it is mind blowing how awesome this is! Get cozy and try it!
I love pistachios! Made this nut milk the other day, and we really enjoyed it with our pancakes, waffles and oats. If I’m honest, I tried it on cereal and that’s a no! This is not a nut milk I recommend drinking straight. The color of this milk is lovely. Go ahead and try it!
One of the things I love about making almond milk is the nut pulp that’s leftover. It became a challenge for me to figure out how to use this byproduct. I created these “no bake” energy bites from researching a variety of recipes. They make quite a few, so feel free to freeze them! Oh, and they’re gluten free and dairy free.
We love our iced tea down here, in Texas. The hubs usually does not like flavored tea, but he loves this one! It is lightly sweet & the peach flavor is not overwhelming. It’s just darn refreshing! Perfect for our 100 degree temps! Ya, you heard that right ~ we already got up to 100!!! My Fredericksburg peach purchase has been put to great use. Yummmm!
A couple of weeks ago, Ellie’s Best asked me to try their “Bigger Better Nut Milk Bag. They were also kind enough to send a package of their Wild Sweet Raw Almonds. I was excited to try making my own almond milk because I was hoping to make a product that was thicker and more flavorful than what I am able to purchase at my local grocery. Plus, I just like the challenge of trying something new. Y’all, this was not a challenge at all. It was so easy! And, I was able to adjust the recipe to our taste. Check out my version. We love it!
I can’t adequately describe how lovely this breakfast made me feel. So simple ~ a 7 1/2 minute jammy egg sprinkled with salt flakes and a low fat milk butterfly pea superjuice powder latte. I used my Nespresso for the hot milk. And, how about my plate & tea cup? My mom had friend from England that would bring her a set like this every time she went to London for a visit. I now have them displayed as a memory of my mom & her friend. Such a sweet and happy little breakfast.
Makin’ a fashion statement, today! First, aren’t these lattes beautiful! Second, I’ve lost 4 lbs (in 12 days) drinking this soothing concoction. Ok, and cutting back on the food & wine intake. Third, it’s widely documented that “golden milk” aids in digestion & breaking down fat, AND assists in stopping the spread of cancer (and I’ll take all the help I can take in that area). I used to work in Kyle, Texas, and one of our favorite places for lunch was Texas Pie Company on Main Street. Of course, they are famous for their pie and baked goods. I dream about their Southern Pecan & Almond Joy, and their lemon bars. Well, over a year ago, they were named one of HEB’s Quest for the Best winners for their pie dough. They call it a “puck” because it is packaged like a puck, ready to roll out. This is the BEST store bought pie dough I have ever come across. I use it for both sweet and savory dishes. It’s just a lifesaver and so flaky. You gotta try it! You can find it in the freezer section.
