Who doesn’t love a warm, chewy chocolate chip cookie? The original recipe calls for a cup of butter, but I have always found that a cup of shortening delivers a fluffier product. My family certainly agrees!
I was super excited to try Amoretti Artisan Natural Flavors & wow are they good! The mango flavor has such an elegant aroma & tastes like sun ripened mangos exactly! The vanilla cupcakes are made with Amoretti Almond Flour, honey & coconut oil. The mango buttercream icing was the perfect compliment & tastes like paradise. There is no way you could get this kind of flavor with generic extracts or flavors. This product is all natural & seriously dense: 2 oz = 24 oz of fruit purée. I’m hooked!
I’ve been making these cookies for a loooong time. The lemon flavor and coconut makes them extra special. They’re crispy on the outside & chewy on the inside. Get busy & then go grab a big glass of milk. Yum!
I have been making this recipe for years. Got it from my mom, who used to make a lot of strawberry desserts. This cake is quite easy – you just mix it up and put it in your baking pan. As easy as it is, I think it is very fancy looking. It for sure tastes good – my husband asks for it often. Very moist, not too sweet. He even asks for it for Thanksgiving. Go figure!
Coffee cakes are so versatile and show off seasonal fruit so nicely. This one is full of raspberries and is made extra moist with the addition of ricotta. Enjoy!
Santa Alert! If you make this Christmas bread pudding yours gonna have to clear a parking space for more than one sleigh! This stuff is what sugar plum dreams (or should I say nightmares) are made of!!! Nightmares from the calories that is. But, we’re not actually counting them at this time of year, are we? It is packed with plenty of apples, raisins & pecans, and the vanilla sauce is both easy & divine!
This cake is a family fav and so worth the trouble. It’s got two steps, but otherwise is very straight forward. It feeds a lot of people, mostly because it is quite rich. A small portion goes a long way!
Ok, y’all the temps have been 100+ In Texas! This no bake dessert is perfect for satisfying your sweet tooth. You’re gonna love this easy & refreshing dessert!
This is my rendition of Boston Cream Pie. It was first created for the grand opening of Boston’s Parker House, now known as the Omni Parker House. As you can see it’s not a pie. It’s a vanilla cake filled with pastry cream and topped with chocolate ganache. At the Omni they spread some of the pastry cream on the sides and press almonds onto it. My hubs loves this dessert, so he usually gets it for his birthday or Father’s Day. Enjoy!
